The Oakes Linebackers Club is a volunteer group formed to enhance the Oakes football program offerings. The focus is to suppliment the OHS team with training equipment needed and to provide a football program for 5th and 6th grade boys to learn the football basics.

Membership

The membership includes local volunteers, former residents and alumni interested in football programs for youth.

Practice Schedule

The practice schedule coincides with the Oakes Public School program beginning in the middle of August and ending mid-October. Practice begins after school with warm up excercises and practice games beginning around 5:15pm.

The Oakes Linebackers play an estimated 15 games per season:

• Milnor
• Valley City
• Lisbon
• LaMoure
• Jamestown
• Wyndmere
• Jamboree - more than 1 game with such teams from Wahpeton, Jamestown & Fargo
• Dome Game - game held at the Fargo Dome
