The Oakes Youth Soccer Association was formed in 1995 to provide an opportunity for youth to participate in a youth soccer league in the Oakes community. The spring and fall sessions run 7 to 8 weeks in length for children ages four through twelve. The association prides themselves on being a recreational league where all children are given an equal opportunity to play, learn and have fun. The teams are co-educational, and this is believed to be one of the best aspects of the program. Each child is encouraged and supported to play to the best of their ability.
Fees $17.00 per child ⁄ $51.00 family maximum
The league provides t-shirts for each child. Families are responsible to provide shorts, shin guards, tall socks, and a water bottle. Each player is encouraged to bring their own practice ball, although this is not mandatory.
Tuesday: 6-7 pm

Saturdays: Spring & Fall
The Oakes Youth Soccer program is a volunteer run program, with parents volunteering to serve as coaches, referees, fundraisers, and field care coordinators. The organization has a limited background in soccer and is always looking for area adults who enjoy working with kids and who are not afraid to "learn- as- they- go." The volunteer time commitment is one hour a week for practice and Saturday mornings to work with game day activities.
The Oakes Youth Soccer Association is a member of the North Dakota Youth Soccer Association, which provides insurance coverage for each of the registered youth. This organization provides training by state certified Coaches for local coaches, referees and also offers player improvement courses.
