Construction on Main Avenue will begin on Monday, June 14th! There will be no parking allowed along Main Avenue from 8th Street to 4th Street. There will also be no parking allowed on south 5th Street. All intersections will be impassable except 7th Street and Main Avenue. Please use alternate parking. These arrangements must remain in place until the end of the construction. Access to the businesses on Main Avenue may be limited at times, but the sidewalks should be open to travel during most of the construction period. Businesses will be encouraged to use an alternate entrance to the building as much as possible.
During the replacement of the sewer and water infrastructure, the heavy machinery working in the right-of-way will cause some dust, noise, and vibrations.
Paving is scheduled to be done Tuesday through Thursday (weather permitting) on 5th Street from Ivy to Nectarine, Fir Avenue, 4th Street, and areas from last fall. There will be an increase in truck traffic during this time, please use caution and take alternate routes.
