Oakes Community has a Mayor/Council form of government elected by the people. The City Council oversees the city streets and sewer, lights, landfill, cemetery, police department and more. Please contact City Hall for more information.
The Park Board serves as a separate elected body and is responsible for the parks, swimming pool and recreational areas within the community.
