"Always polite, helpful. Checks back to see if all is well. Delightful young man."

Praise stories have been heard about how Seth has "saved their hinney" on numerous occasions. He is a wizard with computers and never makes you feel like you are challenged. Seth, thank you for going above and beyond in service to the customers of the community.

Tara, the pharmacist (Marissa Huebsch) who was working with me asked me about my allergy to a particular drug. Your pharmacist drew attention to the fact I was prescribed a medication in the family of drugs I had allergic reactions to..... I cannot tell you how thankful I am for your employee's honesty and integrity. Tara, you and your employee (whom you have surely had a hand in training) need to accept my sincere thanks for this action. There are times I curse the disadvantages of living in a small community, however I can see clearly that your business of knowing each customer and taking time and care with them would be very hard to find in any larger city and I believe would rarely be found in a community of any size. Once again, please let your employee (Marissa) know of my deep appreciation for her time and effort in my care. You have earned my life-long business. This is a paraphrase of the letter sent to Tara Schmitz at Tara's Thrifty White Pharmacy.

May 2013 - Ryan Lagodinski

We would like to nominate Ryan Lagodinski for the Pride of Oakes Award. Ryan is the Physical Therapist at Oakes Community Hospital. When our son damaged his meniscus on January 5th at the Central Cass Tournament, we thought he was most likely done with wrestling his Senior year. Our son went to see Ryan and he helped us get recommendations from a couple of ortho doctors. When our son did not like the opinions - he (Ryan) kept with us to get a second and third. He got us in quickly to see a surgeon and our son had knee surgery on January 11th. Ryan immediately started light therapy knowing that if our son was going to have a chance to get to state, he would have to stay in shape. He (Ryan) was at the gym everyday with our son at wrestling practice. He called him, checked up on him and made sure his confidence was just as healed as his knee. On February 9th -- one month after the tear, our son placed third in Region 1, to secure his final trip to the State Tournament on February 16th. Our son placed 5th at the ND state Tournament at 160bs. We know that without Ryan, our son would not have made it to state this year. Hat's off to someone who can understand the dreams of others and use their talents to help achieve them!! Ryan is truly a PRIDE OF OAKES.
