"I nominate Becky Kelly , office manager for Dr. Geoffrey Rath. She is exceptionally friendly on the phone and in person. She is also very efficient with clients of all ages from young children to the elderly in wheel chairs. Not only does Becky work a full time job but she is an active participant in sports activities at school. She organizes fund raising and is a great support person for the Tornadoes."

I nominate Postmaster Joe Goldberg. He does an exceptional job. Once his work is done he goes out on the route when needed. Not an easy task when he is not familiar with the entire community. He courteous and provides extra services and touches going above and beyond - things really appreciated by the patrons.
March 2014 - Jerry Praska

I would like to nominate Jerry Praska for Pride of Oakes. The other day, I was in a hurry to get my dad to his doctor's appointment in Fargo when his battery on his medical device started loosing it's charge. We ran to Praska Hardware and Jerry dropped everything he was working on to help us get the right adapter for his device to re-charge in the car... including going out into the freezing air, popping the hood of the car, checking the amps on the battery and sending us on our was with a borrowed car battery. He is ALWAYS helpful and knowledgeable about everything he carries in the store and takes great pride in what he does, and he should!
In addition to his store he helped raise money for the Legion baseball pitching machine, serves on the Fire Department, and supports many school functions.
I believe he is well deserving of this award.
