Services provided by the Dickey County Senior Citizens

Meals

Congregate and home delivered meals are provided to persons 60 years of age and older, their spouses and other eligible persons on a voluntary contribution basis. To receive a home delivered meal, additional criteria must be met.

• Meals are served Monday through Friday in Dickey County:
• Oakes - Senior Citizen Center
• Ellendale - Senior Citizen Center
• Fullerton - The Ranch House
• Meal Contribution Suggestion: $2.50
• Please note: No one will be denied a meal who chooses not to donate the suggested amount. EBT benefits may also be used to donate for meals.
• The food supplement Ensure is also available in 8 ounce cans at the cost of $1.25 per can.

Outreach

• A staff member will come to a senior citizens' home to provide information about all services that are available for an elderly person to access.

DICKEY COUNTY TRANSPORTATION (BUS) SERVICE

Dickey County offers a transporation service in both the Oakes and Ellendale area. The bus will pick an individual up at their home and also return the individual to their home. If a senior citizen is in need of a ride, please contact the Oakes or Ellendale Senior Centers the day before you need a ride. For more specific information please view our transportation page listed under Seniors.

Bingo on Mondays at 1:15 pm located at the Oakes Senior Center

Health Maintenance Clinic held on the 1st Wednesday of the month. 8:30 am at the Oakes Senior Center
